Our Philosophy
Finding a reliable shop to restore your vintage watch shouldn't be this difficult. And when you do find one, you shouldn't have to worry about parts being replaced or polished without your consent, altering the watch's unique history.
At Sutcliffe Hansen, we do things differently. We believe every watch tells a story, and that story deserves to be preserved exactly as the owner intends. That's why we provide a detailed timeline of your watch's restoration journey, complete with photos of every step.

Our certified watchmakers service each movement with technical expertise and respect for originality, restoring functionality without compromising character.
From time-only pocket watches to split-second chronographs, our certified watchmakers specialize in technically demanding restorations.
We preserve original luminous material whenever possible, stabilizing it to prevent deterioration and maintain its patina. If re-luming is needed, we use color-matched compounds to honor the original appearance.
Case and bracelet refinishing is available upon request and never performed without your approval. We carefully restore brushed and polished surfaces while preserving original character.
